- The publication incorporates content from the Guide to the High School Exam in Latin and Ancient Culture effective from the 2022/2023 school year, along with the Appendix, covering general and specific requirements in linguistic, intercultural, and social competencies.
- Each set includes tasks that assess a variety of linguistic, cultural, and social competencies, as well as different task types, including both closed and open tasks. Closed tasks, where the student selects an answer from the options provided, include multiple-choice questions, true-false items, and matching exercises. In open tasks, students independently formulate their responses in Polish or Latin. The open tasks include: translating Latin text into Polish, completing texts with blanks, answering questions, providing short responses, and interpretative exercises.
- Each proposed exam paper consists of three segments. The first segment is a translation task, accompanied by questions assessing skills and knowledge in Latin language and ancient culture, as well as understanding of the historical, literary, and cultural context of the translated text. The second segment is a cultural and grammatical test, evaluating the extent to which students have mastered the general and specific requirements outlined in the core curriculum for the subject Latin and Ancient Culture, taught at the advanced level.
- In the third segment, students complete two interpretative tasks: one involves translating and interpreting a Latin phrase, and the other focuses on recognizing and interpreting mythological or historical scenes presented in visual reproductions of cultural texts, with attention to the appropriate cultural context.
