For many years, she served as the coordinator of the bilingual section at Gymnasium No. 9 named after cc. mjra Hieronim Dekutowski in Lublin, and since 2017, at Adam Mickiewicz Primary School in Lublin. President of the Lublin branch of the PROF-EUROPE Association of French Language Teachers. Organizer of training sessions and workshops for French language teachers. Author of pedagogical innovations for primary and secondary school students. DELF A1-B2 examiner. Initiator and co-organizer of national and regional competitions promoting the French language (Provincial French Song Competition, Provincial “Getting to Know France” Competition, national competition for French language promotional T-shirt designs “La France sur mon T-shirt”).

Currently the Head of the University College for the Training of French Language Teachers at the University of Warsaw. Treasurer of PROF-EUROPE, the Association of French Language Teachers in Poland. Coordinator of the National French Language Olympiad.

    dr Marlena Deckert

    Lecturer at the Centre for Foreign Language Teacher Training and European Education at the University of Warsaw. She is a graduate in Romance Philology from the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin and obtained a doctorate in Applied Linguistics from the Department of Language Acquisition and Language Didactics at the Institute of Romance Philology, KUL John Paul II. For many years, she worked in a secondary school as a French language teacher. She collaborates with PROF-EUROPE, the Association of French Language Teachers in Poland, and the Lublin Education Curator. She is the author of French competition tasks and a co-organiser of conferences for foreign language teachers.
